Annual Honors Recital

The Honors Recital is one of the Chopin Academy of Music’s most distinguished annual performance events, showcasing students who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, artistic growth, and achievement throughout the academic year.

Presented in prestigious concert venues throughout the Seattle metropolitan area, the Honors Recital represents a culminating artistic milestone for advanced students enrolled in the Academy’s structured programs of study.

Participation is selective and based on successful performance evaluation, faculty recommendation, and sustained involvement in the Academy’s artistic community.

Over the years, the Chopin Academy of Music has presented Honors Recitals in respected venues including (criteria for selection to perform as part of the Carnegie Hall Debut program differs than our annual Honors Music Recital):

• Benaroya Hall
• Seattle Art Museum
• Frye Art Museum
• Meydenbauer Center

These performances provide students with invaluable experience performing in professional concert settings while celebrating the culmination of a year of disciplined study and artistic preparation.

The Honors Recital is reserved for students participating in the Academy’s advanced programs, including the Exam Track Program and Competition Track Program.

Selection is based on:

• Successful completion of program requirements
• Faculty recommendation
• Participation in performances and artistic activities
• Demonstrated musical maturity and preparation
• Successful live audition and evaluation

As outlined in the Academy’s academic structure, students must demonstrate consistent progress and meaningful participation throughout the academic year in order to be considered for this opportunity.
