Teaching Requirements

We maintain high standards to ensure the quality and consistency of our instruction. All applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Master of Music degree in instrumental performance (or equivalent)
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Clear criminal background check
• Fluency in English
• Minimum of 5 years of pre-college teaching experience
• Live audition in performance (15 minutes) and teaching demonstration
• At least two professional recommendations
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Professional reliability and timely responsiveness
• Approachable, dynamic personality
• Minimum three-year commitment to the Academy
