Anne Robinson is a pianist and pedagogue working in Washington. She is a recipient of the Steinway & Sons Top Teacher Award in recognition for her students’ excellence in competitions and auditions. Since 2006, Ms. Robinson has devoted herself to teaching and learning the research of how the brain learns music, resulting in a teaching approach that develops expression and understanding from the beginning.
Ms. Robinson received her Master of Music and Graduate Performance Degree from The Boston Conservatory where she studied with Max Levinson. She completed her Bachelor of Music at the University of Columbia-Missouri under the instruction of Dr. Peter Miyamoto. She has performed across the country as a soloist and chamber musician, as well as in two piano ensembles with her sister. Anne has also performed in masterclasses by Melvin Chen, Hugh Hinton, Michael Lewin, and Robert Shannon.
Other notable awards are two First Places for Wisconsin Music Teachers Association competition, the Sigma Alpha Iota Scholarship Competition of St. Louis, merit scholarships from The Boston Conservatory and the University of Columbia-Missouri, and winner of The Boston Conservatory Chamber Music Honors Competition.
